A Seminar on Myanmar Economic Growth

Naresuan University, in cooperation with Department of East Asian Affairs and Phitsanulok Province, hosted a seminar on Myanmar Economic Growth to encourage academics, entrepreneurs, and interested stakeholders both public and private sectors to learn a wide range of business and investment opportunities lined in Myanmar: ‘the Golden Land.’ The event was honored by H.E. Mr. Pisanu Suvanajata, Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar and Mr. Htun Aye, Third Secretary, Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. H.E. Pisanu convinced that stakeholders reset their mindsets to cope well with a rapidly changing and more competitive arena in ASEAN and learn misconceptions being long taken for granted of Myanmar. With great pleasure, the seminar also accommodated rectors and pro-rector from Yangon University of Foreign Languages, Mandalay University of Foreign Languages, Shwebo University, and Maubin University; there was a signing ceremony between Yangon University of Foreign Languages and Naresuan University in the morning session. Several key activities between the 2 universities were supported by Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA).
A signing ceremony was arranged on Monday, May 27, 2013 at Salao Room 1 at 09.30 followed by a seminar on Myanmar Economic Growth at Ekatossarot 301, Ekatossarot Building at 14.00.
