Introduction


The Doctoral Program in Educational Technology and Communications aims at producing needed educational personnel at the advanced level to serve as leaders in research and development within the indispensable field of technology and communications in the educational settings.

Objectives

Desirable characteristics of graduates are as follows :

  • Competent in creating creative work in the administration and management of educational technology
  • Knowledgeable and skillful with good attitudes towards the profession, especially in instructional design using appropriate technology
  • Keen in advanced research in the profession

Special Admission Requirements

(See also general university Graduate School requirements.)

  • Option 1.1 : Graduated with a Master’s degree or equivalent in Education, such as Educational Technology, Instructional Technology, Instructional Systems Design, Information Technology, Computer Science, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Administration, or related areas.
  • Option 1.2 : Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree with first class honors.

Applicants in the final semester of the required Master’s or Bachelor’s degrees expecting to complete their degree before the first semester starts may apply.
