Vietnam and Thailand: Through the Eyes of 2 Ambassadors

On Tuesday, May 7, 2013, Naresuan University, with its 15 partnered universities in lower north, was privileged and honored to receive H.E. Mr. Ngo Duc Thang, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Socialist of Vietnam and H.E. Mr. Anuson Chinvanno, Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam who were cordially invite to give special keynote lectures on “Vietnam Economic Growth” at 14.00 at Ekatossarot Conference Room 301.  Where H.E. Thang gave an overview and specific information of economics, politics, GDP, socioeconomic situation, 10 year strategic plan 2011-2020, including the 3 key restructuring in investment, enterprises, and financial banking system of Vietnam, H.E. Chinvanno reflected an insight what should best invest in Vietnam; textiles, computers and machinery, including agriculture, forestry and fishing should be specifically focused.  Service industry would also be another great alternate for Thai entrepreneurs as there was an influx of 3.7 million tourists visiting Vietnam last year.  Thailand was ranked second to Singapore as key dialogue partner of Vietnam.
