Upon an invitation from H.E. Mr. Francisco Tilman Cepeda, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Timor-Leste to UN-ESCAP, extended to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University, to attend a reception for the accession of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste as the 11th member state of ASEAN, president Tantanee delegated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Padgate, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uthai Wichai, Dean of Science and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Ross, Associate Dean for the Development of International Affairs to attend this important event alongside with 3 scholarship students; Ms. Clotilde Lobato da Cruz (Timor-Leste), Mr. Wycliff Bwambale (Uganda) and Mr. Tshering Phuntsho (Bhutan).\u00a0 The attendance to celebrate Timor-Leste as the 11th ASEAN member followed by a successful visit to Naresuan University on 19 November 2025 by representatives from the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Bangkok, comprising Mr. Armindo Simoes, Deputy Head of Mission and Mr. Baptista da Silva, Attach\u00e9 of Education who came to discuss collaborative activities between the government of Timor-Leste and Naresuan University focusing on human resources development.<\/p>\n
