Asst. Prof. Dr. Yuwayong Juntarawijit, Dean of Nursing, brought 2 professors, Dr. Koji Makino and Dr. Yoko Chiba, from School of Human Nursing, the University of Shiga Prefecture, Japan to meet with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University. Having collaborated with Shiga on online student exchange program in the past year, Faculty of Nursing deems it is necessary to push a linkage forward by focusing more on research and teaching programs between the two universities; there will also be a group of students from the University of Shiga Prefecture coming to the faculty in March 2024 for exchange activities, which include an opportunity for students from both institutions to share experiences on transcultural nursing care for patients with different backgrounds. Building human resources in nursing capable of competent soft skills and ability to work as a team besides understanding diversities is one of the key missions of the faculty, and it is projected that cooperation under an MoU between the University of Shiga Prefecture and Naresuan University will be formalized soon.
