The 2nd TNDR National and International Research Conference: “Be Better: Disaster Resilience for a Better Society”

Naresuan University, in collaboration with the Thai Network for Disaster Resilience (TNDR) and affiliated universities, organized the 2nd TNDR Conference on July 12, 2024, at the King Naresuan the Great International Exhibition and Convention Center (KNECC). The conference, themed “Be Better: Disaster Resilience for a Better Society,” was inaugurated by Dr. Pijit Rattakul, Chairman of TNDR.

Following the opening ceremony, a discussion on “Ecosystem that Supports the Commercialization of Research and Innovation Results” was held, featuring:

  1. Dr. Pijit Rattakul, Chairman of TNDR
  2. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Apichat Sopadang, Dean of the College of Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Studies, Chiang Mai University
  3. Mr. Ekaphong Musikacharoen, Director of the Division of Promotion and Coordination for the Benefits of Science and Innovation (PWA)
  4. Dr. Kosak Towatakawanit, Platform Manager for Innovative Business Creation, International Business Center, PTT Global Chemical Co., Ltd.

The discussion was moderated by Dr. Pisut Aphichayakul, Vice President for International Relations and Technology Transfer.

Another key discussion on “The World in Rage – Extreme Disasters: How to Manage Water to Survive!” featured:

  1. Mr. Wattanasak Supaking, Director of the Department of Promotion of Water Resources Technology and Information, Water Resources Information Institute (Public Organization)

This discussion was moderated by Mr. Somkid Sapaokam, Director of the Lower Northern Irrigation Hydrology Center.
