DDP Developed between Kumamoto University and Naresuan University

 

Invited by Center for Animal Research of Naresuan university (NUCAR), Prof. Seiji Okada from Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kumamoto University, Japan, alongside with representatives from Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University.  Having experience in animal research for more than 10 years and laboratories certified by AAALAC, the guests came to observe administration of GLP standardized laboratories, which Mahidol University plans to collaborate with in animal model for cancer/stem cell studies.  Prof. Okada, specifically, also gave a lecture on “Xenograft Mice, Genetic Engineered Mice, BRJ Mice” for NUCAR staff members.  Kumamoto University statistically hosts Thai students as the second largest number of overseas students in the university.  The delegation was also invited to discuss a Double Degree Program (DDP) at Ph.D. level between Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Kumamoto University and Faculty of Medical Science, Naresuan University.
