NU bids a warm farewell to a vibrant group of international exchange students under NUCEPT

On behalf of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University, Dr. Phisut Apichayakul, Vice President for International Relations and Technology Transfer, presided over the farewell celebration of the second batch of the 2026 Naresuan University Cultural Exchange Program in Thailand (NUCEPT), highlighting the university’s commitment to fostering global understanding and cross-cultural exchange and marking two weeks of cultural immersion, international friendship, and unforgettable experiences.

Representing 11 students from 7 universities across 5 countries, including Germany, Mexico, South Korea, and Taiwan, the participants embraced Thai culture through a diverse range of hands-on activities and community engagement opportunities from 26 July to 8 August 2026. The international students were supported by 22 NU Thai buddies from 11 faculties and college, creating meaningful intercultural connections both inside and outside the classroom. Participants explored Thai traditions through, for instance, lessons in Thai language, traditional music and dance, Thai cooking, and Thai traditional massage, gaining firsthand insight into the country’s rich cultural heritage. Beyond campus, the students embarked on educational excursions to renowned historical and religious landmarks in Sukhothai and Phitsanulok, visited the scenic Ban Mung, in Noen Maprang District, and engaged with local communities surrounding the university. These experiences offered a deeper understanding of Thailand’s history, culture, and way of life.

The program concluded with the farewell party held on Friday, 7 August 2026 at 17.00 at the Self Access Centre, Naresuan University Language Centre, Center for Information Technology and Communication Services.
