Prof. Dr. Tony O’ Donnell, Senior Advisor (Research and International) to the Deputy Vice Chancellor Research and Prof. Dr. Daniel Murphy, Food Future Institute, Murdoch University, Australia met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krongkarn Chootip, Dean of Graduate School and Asst. Prof. Dr. Worasit Tochampa, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment (FANRE) to discuss likely cooperation in joint research activities/trainings, international funding (New Columbo Plan, DFAT funded TNE research (China, Brazil, UK) and teaching and learning projects between the two universities. FANRE deemed it was necessary to increase postgraduate students, international programs and undergraduate exchange where Murdoch could assist in providing expertise and resource staff members to push this. Specifically, it was initially agreed that both the parties should firstly drive a joint master program (Mres Joint) where interests from both sides met and cooperative agreements are to be signed.
The meeting took place on March 15, 2023 at 10.00 at the Graduate School’s meeting room (TA 107), Graduate School.
