Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University, received Honorary Prof. Dr. Gavin P. Reynold, Sheffield Hallam University, the United Kingdom and Prof. Dr. Wai Chen, Curtin University, Australia who spent a visit at Faculty of Medical Science to serve as speakers of 11th Paper Camp Workshop at Wintree City Resort, Chiang Mai on February 1-2, 2024. The event, to be held under ‘NU World Class: Food and Herb for Health and Beauty’ theme, is supported by Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation within ‘Reinventing University’ framework. The two delegates discussed how to help elevate research standing and produce high quality publications, which are key mechanisms to increase university ranking at national level, regional level and international level. It is proposed that research should prioritize subject areas where Naresuan University places emphasis on, especially but not limited to emerging/re-emerging diseases at northern border. Prof. Reynolds and Prof. Chen are also currently appointed committee members of international editorial board of Naresuan University to help vet research papers for academic staff and researchers.
