Warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University, a distinguished team members from Murdoch University (MU), Australia, comprising Prof. Peter Davies, Prof. Tony Oā€™Donnell and Prof. Daniel Murphy visited Naresuan University to discuss collaborative activities between the two universities, particularly research on agricultural sciences and exchange students under New Columbo Plan.Ā President Tantanee emphasized that high value agriculture is one of the 5 key research directions of the university and that interchange of knowledge and know-hows between Food Futures Institute of MU and Faculty of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment would yield productive insights and benefits in the field.Ā MU propelled towards the establishment of Food Futures Institute with the focus being placed upon agricultural applications and translational research, including understanding the nature of diverse agricultural industries.Ā The MU team also took this opportunity to sign an MOU, initiated by NU Faculty of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment, to sustain and promote close relationships and enhance mutual field of interests such as added-valued agricultural food and recycling process plus joint research/publications and field trip visits of postgraduate students under New Columbo Plan.
The signing ceremony, coincided with a field trip visit of 4 MU students on January 29-February 9,. 2024 at Faculty of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment, was arranged on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 10.00 a.m. at Naresuan Room 310, Office of the President.
