Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University received Ms. Lisa A. Buzenas, Consul General from the U.S. Consulate General in Chiang Mai and delegates who proposed to meet NU executive team members to discuss potential cooperation between universities in the U.S. and NU and how the consulate general could help bridge linkages in both academic and research areas. The consulate general is also keen to extend a platform of cooperation under Institute of International Cooperation (IIE) whose key missions are to build networks between American universities and Thai universities and connect competent individuals to take part in exchange activities and scholarly programs. Joined with the consulate team is Ms. Nicole E. Pareene, who is serving as an English fellow at the Department of English, Faculty of Humanities; she is from Regional English Language Office (RELO), Embassy of the United States of America in Thailand. Prior to the meeting with the president of NU, the delegates visited the Center of Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship in AgriFood (IDEA) at Faculty of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment to observe food innovation technology and machinery.
