Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornnarin Taepavarupruk, Director of Naresuan University Center for Animal Research (NUCAR), brought Dr. Boo Hyon Kang to meet NU executive team members led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee. Dr. Kang, from CorstemChemon Inc., South Korea, was invited by NUCAR to give a special lecture on “Rodents toxicity testing: Navigating through acute and chronic studies with a focus on the OECD-GLP guideline” attended by approximately 40 researchers whose responsibility involved administering the OECD-GLP quality system on toxicological studies. CorestemChemon Inc., previously Chemon Inc., has recently shifted its focus to stem cell studies for animal research and regularly sends scholars to NUCAR to assist staff members in understanding OECD towards Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) criteria, processes and requirements. Given Dr. Kang’s contributions to Naresuan University, an adjunct professorial position in the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, is being offered.
