A delegation from French Embassy in Bangkok led by Dr. Ludovic Andres, Attache for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation, was received by Dr. Phisut Apichayakul, Vice President for International Relations and Technology Transfer during Campus France 2024 held at Naresuan University. The event, comprising Studies in France and Scholarships for Students and Research Fellowships and Mobility Programs, aimed not only to enable staff and students know basic information of France, scholarship opportunities, collaborative research at higher education level, but effectively forge links for research and academic cooperation between France and Thailand. A common practice for students studying in France is they are entitled for discounted transfer and lodging within the country, including access to historical places like museums and other learning sites. The Etudes en France was also introduced and it served as the platform for study applications and student visa facilitation, which each of the interested students can apply from October 1 to March 1 every year. A lecture also included detailed information of varieties of scholarship programs such as Erasmus Plus, Eiffel, Franco-Thai, Franco-Thai Young Talent, PHC-Siam, which applicants’ qualifications, fields/levels of study, application timeframe and age restrictions vary from program to program. In parallel, staff from Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and School of Renewable Energy and Smart Grid Technology took part in a discussion with Campus France team on research fellowships and other collaborative projects, which they planned to do with French partner universities.
Campus France 2024, attended by some 80s staff and students, was hosted on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Main Conference Room and Mini Conference Room, Center for Information Technology and Communication Services.
