Prof. Tsumoto Kouhei, Vice Dean, Office of the Dean, Graduate School of Engineering, University of Tokyo, Japan extended his warm welcome to a Naresuan University delegation headed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Kumpon Subsomboon, Dean of Engineering; Asst. Prof. Dr. Korakod Nusit, Associate Dean for Administration and Head of Department of Civil Engineering; Asst. Prof.
Dr. Polpreecha Chidburee, Deputy Head of Department of Civil Engineering and Director of Regional Center of Geo-Informatics and Space Technology, Lower Northern Region, Naresuan University; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornnarin Taepavarapruk, Director, Naresuan University Center for Animal Research, during their official visit University of Tokyo.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss academic collaboration in areas of mutual interests such as student and staff exchange, as well as research consultancy. The NU delegates also sought cooperation for a research project with both University of Tokyo and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on climate change adaptation measures where Thailand could serve as a place for case study and other sustainable development aspects between the two universities.
