Brought by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uthai Wichai, Dean of Science, Prof. Dr. Jein-Shan Chen, Dean of College of Science representing National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), Taiwan attended a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University (NU). This international tie is initiated by NU Faculty of Science to collaborate with College of Science, NTNU in terms of academic/research activities such as staff and student exchange and joint research publications between the two universities. After the ceremony concluded, Prof. Dr. Chen took this opportunity to visit Faculty of Medical Science to discuss possible cooperation with the faculty and later gave a special lecture on ’Smoothing Functions to Sparse Optimization: A Unified Framework’ for interested staff and researchers at Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science.
