Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University, received a delegation from Jinko Solar Co., Ltd., a major manufacturer in photovoltaic module and clean energy solutions based in China, led by Mr. Salim Pathan, Marketing Director, Indo-Pacific, of the company. The Jinko Solar team, brought by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nipon Ketjoy, Director of School of Renewable Energy and Smart Grid Technology (SGtech) spent a visit to SGtech as part the project, funded by the Thai Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, on studying the suitability of growing different types of crops together with a utilization of ground-mounted solar power generation system (Agrivoltaics), which Jinko Solar has an extensive experience with. President Tantanee also encouraged SGtech that it should come up with a proposal with Jinko Solar on alternative energy to increase yields of agricultural products in the lower north region of Thailand driven by a mechanism of triple helix (government-university-enterprise cooperation).
