Prof. Dr. Yoko Chiba, Head of International Affairs of School of Human Nursing and representative of Prof. Dr. Shinji Ide, President of University of Shiga Prefecture (USP), Japan, other 3 delegates and 9 students were warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University. The primary focus of this visit is to attend a handing over ceremony of the Memorandum of University between NU and USP. The formalization of this agreement stemmed from a visit of USP team comprising Prof. Dr. Yoko Chiba and Prof. Dr. Koji Makino at Faculty of Nursing on September 18, 2023, including several online exchange activities in the past years. The ceremony serves as a recognition of efforts made and contributed by the two universities, especially between USP School of Human Nursing and NU Faculty of Nursing for practicum of nursing students significantly developed into a milestone in nursing education and research. The USP team will also take part in nursing practicum activities at Faculty of Nursing, site visitations at hospitals, local health promotion hospitals and cultural exchange activities throughout their stay on March 4-9, 2024. After the event concluded, the USP group was taken around Naresuan University campus by electric shuttles.
The MOU handing over ceremony was arranged on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 9.00 a.m. at Thao Saed Meeting Room, King Naresuan Exhibition and Convention Center (KNECC).
