NU Hosts Experts from Fulbright Thailand and Siam University to Boost Global Partnerships

 

Representing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University, Dr. Phisut Apichayakul, Vice President for International Relations and Technology Transfer presided over the opening of a Lecture and Knowledge Sharing on “In & Out: International Partnership – Scholarships & Marketing.” This event was meant for participants to better understand channel of international scholarship opportunities, particularly offered by Thailand-United States Educational Foundation (TUSEF), widely known as Fulbright Thailand and internationalization policies and overseas students recruitment strategies and services to attract prospective international students in a competitive educational market. NU was honored by the presence of two distinguished scholars to shed light on the mentioned aspects. Dr. Vipat Kuruchittham, Executive Director of Thailand-United States Educational Foundation (TUSEF) gave a talk on “Fulbright Programs for Higher Education” and Dr. Yhing Sawheny, Director of the Office of International Relations from Siam University delivered a lecture on “International Marketing for Higher Education: Partnerships, Recruitments and Services.” The afternoon session engaged participants into two parallel workshops. Dr. Kuruchittam reflected on “Fulbright Scholarship Management” and illustrated recruitment techniques, common pitfalls and tips for successful Fulbright scholarship applications and opened the floor for NU staff to design their own Fulbright specialist projects. The other workshop led by Dr. Sawheny encouraged NU staff to focus on international student marketing strategies, prioritizing strengths of NU, determining overseas targeted countries and build reliable and engaging services to respond with international student journey. The event, attended by 60s NU executive and staff members and organized by Division of International Affairs and Language Development, took place on Friday, 7 August 2026 at Main Conference Meeting Room, Center for Information Technology and Communication Services.
